Dr. Emily Alder graduated with her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University in 2013. During her training, she worked as a mental health counselor at the Native American Rehabilitation Association (NARA) in their inpatient treatment facility, Lutheran Community Services Northwest in McMinnville, OR, and the Lewis & Clark College counseling center. She also worked at KIDO Psychological Services in Vancouver, WA as an assessment technician.
Dr. Alder completed her internship at the University of North Dakota’s University Counseling Center in Grand Forks, N.D., and her residency at Washington State University’s Counseling and Testing Services in Pullman, WA. While working at KIDO and UND, she led groups related to substance abuse recovery, and at WSU she led a support group for LGBTQ students. She has also cofacilitated several interpersonal process groups for students and adults with histories of abuse.
Dr. Alder is originally from Eugene and is excited to have returned to her hometown to help those who are experiencing mental health concerns.
